Ahead of the release, Beta rehabilitated for months
Now in his natural habitat, it's al about learning the landscape, finding prey, establishing a home range, and surviving without human assistance.
Currently the Cikananga field team is doing post-release monitoring, to helps us better understand Beta's adaptation, keep an eye out for Beta and learn how this species adapts to the Megamendung area. These observations are essential for evaluating the success of rehabilitation and improving Javan Hawk-eagle releases in the future.
