Plant a Tree Project

The Wanicare Foundation has launched a tree planting initiative as part of its broader Sustainable Farm Program, aimed at restoring ecosystems and supporting wildlife conservation in and around Cikananga. Following the construction of a dedicated tree nursery at the Cikananga Wildlife Center, the first saplings are already growing—marking the beginning of a long-term effort to improve the region’s biodiversity.

Improve biodiversity, join the tree planting project

This project focuses on cultivating fruit and nesting trees that benefit both wildlife and local communities. By enhancing the natural habitat, we aim to create better conditions for the release of rehabilitated animals, including species like hornbills, which are part of our conservation efforts in the nearby Ciletuh-Cikepuh Nature Reserve.

In addition to supporting wildlife, the initiative promotes sustainable agriculture and agroforestry. Saplings are shared with local farmers, encouraging environmentally friendly farming practices and strengthening collaboration between conservation and community development.

Through this program, Wanicare is working to restore degraded landscapes, improve the environment around Cikananga, and contribute to a healthier, more resilient ecosystem. It’s a step toward a future where wildlife and people thrive together.

You can support the project with 25 euro's so we can plant 5 trees - but you can get started with one tree at a time, and donate as many as you want. Contact us today, and we will be in touch very soon.
